Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister, held a Saudi-American summit with President Donald Trump at the White House. During the summit, they reviewed bilateral relations and discussed ways to enhance the strategic partnership between the two countries in various fields, in addition to addressing regional and international developments and means to strengthen security and stability.
A formal reception and ceremony reflecting the strength of the partnership
President Trump welcomed the Crown Prince to the White House with a formal ceremony that included a mounted escort, a guard of honor, military music, and a 19-gun salute. Commemorative photographs were taken, and both sides watched a flypast by fighter jets over Washington, D.C., in honor of the visit.
Signing of the strategic defense agreement and several important partnerships
At the conclusion of the Saudi-American summit , the Crown Prince and President Trump signed the Strategic Defense Agreement, along with a package of bilateral agreements and memoranda, most notably:
- Strategic partnership for artificial intelligence.
- Joint statement on cooperation in civil nuclear energy.
- The strategic framework for securing supply chains for critical metals.
- Agreement to facilitate and expedite Saudi investments.
- Financial and economic partnership arrangements for shared prosperity.

- Memorandum of Understanding in Education and Training.
- Messages related to vehicle safety standards.
High-level attendance from both sides
A high-level Saudi delegation, including the ministers of energy, foreign affairs, finance, and trade, as well as the governor of the Public Investment Fund, participated in the summit. The US delegation included the vice president, the secretaries of state, energy, and the treasury, and senior US administration officials.
