His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah , Minister of Foreign Affairs, affirmed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s participation in the high-level week of the United Nations General Assembly in New York this year carries a message of peace and justice , reflecting the constants of Saudi foreign policy and its role in supporting global stability.
The Kingdom and its historical role at the United Nations
The Foreign Minister explained that since the era of its founder, King Abdulaziz – may God have mercy on him – up to the present reign of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman – may God protect them – the Kingdom has adhered to an approach based on establishing the foundations of peace and activating the principle of dialogue and peaceful solutions. He pointed out that since becoming one of the founding members of the United Nations in 1945, the Kingdom has been keen to translate the principles of the UN Charter into tangible reality through respect for international law, maintaining international peace and security, and promoting multilateral cooperation.

Prince Faisal bin Farhan noted that the Kingdom has a distinguished record in mediation and conflict resolution efforts thanks to its wise policies and balanced relations with various parties, making it a trusted partner in the international community. He explained that achieving a just solution, beginning with the establishment of an independent Palestinian state , is the fundamental prerequisite for achieving a comprehensive and sustainable regional peace, a principle to which the Kingdom has adhered since its founding.
