The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince congratulate the Sultan of Oman on the anniversary of his accession to power, praising the distinguished fraternal relations and strategic partnership between the Kingdom and the Sultanate.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, sent a congratulatory cable to his brother, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, Sultan of Oman, on the anniversary of his accession to the throne in his country, expressing his sincere congratulations and best wishes to His Majesty for continued health and happiness, and to the government and people of the brotherly Sultanate of Oman for continued progress and prosperity under his wise leadership.

In a related context, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, sent a similar congratulatory cable to His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, in which His Highness expressed his best wishes for good health and happiness to His Majesty, and for further progress and prosperity to the brotherly Omani people.

The depth of historical and fraternal ties

In his message, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques praised the distinguished fraternal relations that bind the two countries and their brotherly peoples, relations deeply rooted in history. The Saudi-Omani ties are characterized by a unique bond based on shared religion, language, geographical proximity, and a common destiny. The leadership in both countries continuously strives to strengthen and develop these relations in all fields, in a way that serves the interests of both peoples and enhances the stability of the region.

Strategic partnership and ambitious visions

This congratulatory message comes at a time when relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman are witnessing unprecedented qualitative development, particularly with the activation of the Saudi-Omani Coordination Council, which serves as a comprehensive framework for enhancing bilateral cooperation. The two countries' future visions, represented by Saudi Vision 2030 and Oman Vision 2040, converge on numerous strategic objectives focused on economic diversification, empowering the private sector, investing in human capital, and achieving sustainable development.

This close cooperation has resulted in major vital projects, most notably the opening of the direct land route between the two countries through the Empty Quarter, which has formed a new artery for social interaction and trade exchange, reflecting the serious desire to transform the distinguished political relations into a tangible economic and integrative partnership on the ground.

A renewed era in the Sultanate of Oman

The anniversary of Sultan Haitham bin Tariq's accession to the throne holds significant meaning. Since assuming power on January 11, 2020, he has led the Sultanate towards a new era of renaissance, continuing the development path established by the late Sultan Qaboos bin Said – may God have mercy on him. The past years have been marked by extensive structural, legislative, and economic reforms in the Sultanate, aimed at achieving financial sustainability and attracting foreign investment, while maintaining the constants of Oman's balanced foreign policy, which consistently advocates dialogue and peace.

Strengthening Gulf unity

The congratulatory messages from the Saudi leadership affirm the Kingdom's unwavering commitment to maintaining continuous communication with its brothers in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) on their national and official occasions. This strengthens the cohesion of the Gulf family and its unity in confronting regional and international challenges. The Kingdom views the stability and prosperity of the Sultanate of Oman as an integral part of the security and stability of the entire region, a fact reflected in the ongoing coordination between the leaderships of the two countries on various issues of mutual interest.
