Saudi Crown Prince's visit to America: Expected agreements

Saudi Crown Prince's visit to the United States: Preparations and anticipated agreements

Riyadh and Washington are preparing to welcome Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on an official visit to the United States, his first since 2018. The visit is scheduled to begin tomorrow (Tuesday), and will witness the signing of important agreements between the two countries.

Intensive preparations and agreements in place

Informed sources reported that talks between the Saudi and American sides continued until yesterday, aimed at finalizing the visit's outcomes. Other sources indicated that the anticipated agreements have been completed and are ready for signing by US President Donald Trump and the Saudi Crown Prince at the White House.

The signing is expected to include a defense agreement, as well as a deal under which Washington will provide technical and technological assistance to the Saudi peaceful nuclear program, including the kingdom’s right to enrich uranium on its territory.

Official reception and high-level talks

US President Donald Trump affirmed that the meeting with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman would not be a routine one, but rather a tribute to the Kingdom's role in achieving regional stability. The Saudi newspaper Okaz reported that an official welcoming ceremony would be held in the South Lawn of the White House, followed by a working lunch in the Cabinet Room.

Trump will also host a lavish dinner in honor of the Crown Prince, with guests from the White House in attendance. The visit will continue with a major investment conference, to which Wall Street and Silicon Valley leaders have been invited, to finalize agreements reached in Riyadh last May.

High expectations and hopes

White House officials expect Trump to attend the investment conference, which will be held at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington. Saudi officials are placing great hopes on this conference to showcase the significant investment opportunities available within the Kingdom's Vision 2030 projects.

In a related context, the German Broadcasting and Television Network (Deutsche Welle) stated that the meeting between Trump and the Saudi Crown Prince will take place in an atmosphere of mutual respect and appreciation, as both sides seek to come up with major deals and arrangements that confirm the success of the meeting in the Oval Office.
