Cabinet: Saudi Arabia's support for Palestine is unwavering, and relief efforts will be intensified

The Cabinet affirms that Saudi Arabia’s support for Palestine is a steadfast approach, directing the intensification of relief efforts and calling on the international community to stop the violations and protect civilians in Gaza.

During its session chaired by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Cabinet affirmed that the Palestinian cause will remain firmly rooted in the conscience of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, both its leadership and its people, emphasizing its unwavering and steadfast position regarding the rights of the Palestinian people. The Cabinet reiterated its commitment to intensifying relief efforts through all air, sea, and land routes to ensure the delivery of urgent humanitarian aid to those affected, continuing the Kingdom's historical and leading role in providing assistance and support to its brothers and sisters in various circumstances and crises.

Extended relief bridges and unlimited humanitarian support

In response to the deteriorating humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, the leadership issued directives to establish extensive air, sea, and land bridges. These practical steps reflect the Kingdom's commitment to brotherhood and solidarity, with relevant authorities working around the clock to provide food, medicine, and shelter. This demonstrates the Kingdom's adherence to its longstanding principles of serving regional security and stability, and its commitment to the values of Islamic and humanitarian solidarity.

Constants of Saudi policy towards Palestine

The Kingdom's position on the Palestinian issue has remained steadfast and unwavering since the era of its founder, King Abdulaziz – may God have mercy on him – and continues to this day. This policy is based on supporting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, foremost among them their right to self-determination and the establishment of their independent state. The Kingdom has stood firmly in all international forums against attempts to impose a fait accompli, categorically rejecting the policies of settlement and forced displacement practiced against the Palestinians, and considering them a flagrant violation of international laws and conventions.

Diplomatic efforts to support a just peace

The Kingdom has not limited itself to humanitarian aid; it has also spearheaded a broad diplomatic campaign to urge the world to recognize the State of Palestine and to support all efforts aimed at achieving a just and comprehensive peace. The Kingdom bases its actions on the Arab Peace Initiative, which it presented as a strategic option guaranteeing the rights of all parties in accordance with international law. Saudi diplomacy works tirelessly to unify Arab and Islamic positions in order to generate effective international pressure that serves the Palestinian cause.

Calling on the international community to assume its responsibilities

On the human rights and legal front, the Kingdom called upon the global conscience and the international community to intervene immediately and decisively to halt the ongoing attacks and to ensure the permanent opening of safe corridors for the delivery of aid. The Kingdom emphasized that international silence regarding these events undermines the prospects for peace, stressing the necessity of respecting international humanitarian law and protecting unarmed civilians, based on the Kingdom's standing and political influence, which it consistently utilizes to serve the causes of the Arab and Islamic nations.
