Saudi Arabia and Bahrain: Deep-rooted relations and strong ties

The Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, received the Minister of Foreign Affairs yesterday (Tuesday) in Manama

The official visit of Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah to the Bahraini capital, Manama, affirmed the strength of Saudi-Bahraini relations and the deep fraternal ties that bind the two countries. He was received by Bahraini Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz and MBS to the Bahraini leadership, along with their wishes for continued progress and prosperity for the government and people of Bahrain.

Mutual greetings confirm the strength of the relationship

For his part, the Crown Prince of Bahrain conveyed his greetings and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince through the Saudi Minister, wishing the Kingdom further progress and advancement, in a renewed affirmation of the deep historical ties that unite Riyadh and Manama, and the pivotal role played by the two leaderships in strengthening joint Gulf action.

Meeting of the Executive Committee of the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council

The visit included a meeting of the Executive Committee of the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council, chaired by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and his Bahraini counterpart, Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. The meeting discussed key bilateral initiatives, reviewed the annual performance report of the subcommittees for 2024-2025, and approved the work plan for 2025-2026.

A shared commitment to expanding the horizons of cooperation

During the meeting, Bahraini Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif Al-Zayani affirmed that the two countries and their brotherly peoples are bound by deep-rooted historical relations and strong fraternal ties that enjoy the continuous attention of both countries' leaderships. For his part, the Saudi minister emphasized that the Executive Committee meeting reflects a shared desire and serious commitment to strengthening bilateral coordination and integration, and to propelling cooperation towards broader horizons that meet the aspirations of both nations.

Signing the minutes of the meeting

At the conclusion of the meeting, the two sides signed the minutes of the Executive Committee meeting, in the presence of officials from both countries, including the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Bahrain, Nayef Al-Sudairi, and a number of government leaders from both sides.
