In accordance with the Crown Prince's directives: Housing begins handing over residential units

In accordance with the Crown Prince’s directives, the Housing Foundation has begun the first phase of delivering housing units to beneficiaries, in order to promote family stability and achieve the goals of Vision 2030.

In accordance with the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, the National Housing Development Foundation (Sakān) announced the commencement of the first phase of handing over housing units to beneficiaries from the most needy families. This step comes as a culmination of the efforts exerted in national charitable campaigns that have received generous and direct support from the wise leadership, and as a confirmation of the great attention that His Royal Highness the Crown Prince pays to the housing sector and providing a dignified life for citizens.

This phase is of paramount importance as it represents the practical outcome of non-profit housing initiatives. The Sakan Foundation, in collaboration with the Jood Housing platform and partners from the public and private sectors, is working to translate donations and community contributions into tangible housing units for thousands of families. This rapid pace of delivery reflects the efficiency of the housing system and its ability to translate generous directives into a tangible reality that citizens experience in record time.

In the context of the historical and strategic background of this event, the housing program is one of the most important pillars of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, launched by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, which aims primarily to raise the rate of homeownership for Saudi families to 70% by 2030. Over the past years, the Kingdom has succeeded in making qualitative leaps in this file, exceeding the interim targets thanks to the diversity of housing and financing options, and the strengthening of partnership with the private sector and the third (non-profit) sector.

This event carries profound social and developmental dimensions. Providing suitable housing for the most vulnerable families not only offers shelter but also strengthens family stability, improves quality of life, and empowers these families to actively integrate into society and participate in national development. This achievement also reflects the success of the Kingdom's "developmental housing" model, which is based on the integration of government support, corporate social responsibility, and charitable giving from members of the community.

In conclusion, the commencement of the delivery of housing units at this stage reinforces the concept of social solidarity that characterizes Saudi society, and highlights the pioneering role of the “Sakan” Foundation in leading the transformation in the non-profit housing sector, ensuring the sustainability of housing solutions and their accessibility to those who deserve them with ease and transparency, in fulfillment of the leadership’s aspirations to provide decent living conditions for all segments of society.
