The Governor of Qassim hands over housing units as part of the Crown Prince's housing support program

The Governor of Qassim hands over ownership documents for housing units to beneficiaries as part of the Crown Prince’s housing support worth one billion riyals, in support of the Jood Housing Programs and the objectives of Vision 2030.

In a move reflecting the wise leadership's commitment to providing a dignified life for citizens and reaffirming its continued generous support for the charitable housing sector, His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud, Governor of Qassim Region, presented ownership documents for housing units to a number of deserving families in the region. This event comes in implementation of the directives of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Prime Minister, and as part of his generous initiative to donate one billion riyals from his personal funds to support the "Jood Housing" platform and secure housing for the most needy families.

A record achievement by high standards

This initiative witnessed tireless work to ensure the implementation of the Crown Prince's directives, which stipulated the completion of housing projects within a record timeframe not exceeding 12 months. The National Housing Development Foundation "Sakān" oversaw this project, selecting housing units in the Qassim region that meet the highest technical and engineering standards, thus guaranteeing the achievement of "quality of life" criteria. These units were constructed by Saudi nationals and local companies, reflecting a commitment to enhancing local content and stimulating economic activity in the region, alongside charitable work.

The context of Vision 2030 and support for the non-profit sector

This step comes within a broader context aligned with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, specifically the Housing Program, which aims to increase homeownership rates among citizens. The Vision places particular emphasis on activating the role of the third (non-profit) sector in housing development, with the support provided by the Crown Prince being a cornerstone for empowering associations and charitable organizations to fulfill their role in meeting the needs of beneficiaries. This direct support contributes to accelerating homeownership and reducing waiting lists, thereby enhancing family and social stability across the Kingdom.

Jood Housing Platform: A Model of Social Solidarity

During the handover ceremony, the Governor of Qassim Province affirmed that the "Jood Housing" platform has become a leading national model and a symbol of social solidarity, thanks to the unlimited support of the leadership. He noted that this generosity reinforces the values of giving inherent in Saudi society and reflects the leadership's unwavering commitment to placing the well-being and housing stability of citizens at the forefront of national priorities. The platform operates with high transparency to connect donors with beneficiaries, making it a reliable channel for delivering housing support to those who deserve it.

Effective partnership to achieve goals

For his part, the Minister of Municipalities and Housing and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the "Sakan" Foundation, Majid Abdullah Al-Hogail, expressed his gratitude to the Governor of Qassim Region for his continuous support and empowerment of the work teams, which directly contributed to overcoming obstacles and completing all phases of the project in the region within the specified timeframe. This achievement demonstrates the extent of coordination and integration between government agencies and non-profit organizations in fulfilling the leadership's aspirations to create a safe and sustainable housing environment befitting Saudi citizens.
