The Palestinian ambassador appreciates Saudi support for Palestine, stressing that the national campaign for charitable work embodies the Kingdom’s firm positions under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince to support steadfastness.

The Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Engineer Mazen Ghoneim, praised the great and continuous relief and humanitarian efforts provided by the Kingdom, stressing that the launch of the National Campaign for Charitable Work represents a true embodiment of the deep and established humanitarian approach adopted by the Saudi leadership in extending a helping hand to those in need and promoting the values of giving and solidarity among peoples.

A humanitarian vision led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince

Ambassador Ghoneim explained that this generous initiative reflects the steadfastness of Saudi Arabia's principled positions on Arab and Islamic issues, foremost among them the Palestinian cause, which enjoys special attention and top priority for the wise leadership. He emphasized that the keenness of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman – may God protect them – to strengthen the resilience of peoples comes within the framework of a comprehensive strategy to confront the escalating humanitarian and economic challenges in many regions around the world, reflecting the Kingdom's leading role as a force for good and peace.

The depth of historical relations and ongoing support

The Palestinian ambassador's remarks come within the context of a long history of strong fraternal relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the State of Palestine. The Kingdom has never hesitated to provide political, material, and moral support to the Palestinian people, from the era of its founder, King Abdulaziz – may God have mercy on him – to the present prosperous era. This support constitutes a fundamental pillar of Saudi foreign policy, as the Kingdom is one of the largest donors to Palestine, whether through direct support to the Palestinian budget or through funding development and relief projects implemented by Saudi funds and international organizations.

The impact of Saudi aid on Palestinian resilience

The ambassador added that the Kingdom, through its impactful initiatives and extensive relief projects, continues to solidify its leading role in the field of humanitarian work. He noted that this support is not limited to material aid alone, but also carries strong messages of solidarity that boost the morale of the Palestinian people and demonstrate the Kingdom's unwavering commitment to supporting affected populations. This assistance directly contributes to alleviating the severity of the economic and living crises suffered by Palestinians and supports vital sectors such as health, education, and infrastructure, thus strengthening the Palestinian citizen's ability to remain steadfast on their land.

Saudi Arabia's leadership in international charitable work

The ambassador concluded by emphasizing that the Kingdom continues to uphold the principles of solidarity and mutual support, which are integral to its policies and its regional and international standing. The National Charity Campaign stands out as a model for organizing and directing donations to those in need with complete transparency and reliability, particularly given the technological advancements in charitable platforms within the Kingdom, supported directly by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince. This has facilitated the delivery of aid to the most vulnerable groups in record time.
