The Special Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the King Abdulaziz Foundation, Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, chaired the second meeting of the Supreme Supervisory Committee for the Project of the History of Hajj and the Two Holy Mosques , which aims to build a comprehensive knowledge reference that monitors the history of the Two Holy Mosques and the rituals of Hajj and Umrah throughout the ages, and documents the major transformations in their service, based on the national concern for enhancing Islamic content and documenting the historical memory of the nation.

The project enjoys the attention and patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and the ongoing support of the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz. It began as a scientific encyclopedia entitled "Encyclopedia of Hajj and the Two Holy Mosques," before expanding into a pioneering national initiative called "The Project for the History of Hajj and the Two Holy Mosques," under the supervision of the King Abdulaziz Foundation, and in cooperation with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, represented by the Guests of God Service Program.

Scientific conferences and exhibitions

The meeting reviewed its agenda, which included announcing the launch of the "Historical Events in the Prophet's Biography: Visions for Investigation and Documentation" forum, scheduled to be held in Madinah concurrently with the Umrah Forum. The meeting also discussed the establishment of a permanent museum dedicated to the history of Hajj and the Two Holy Mosques . Furthermore, the meeting addressed updates on the Hajj and Two Holy Mosques History Forum, preparations for a special exhibition documenting the history of Hajj and the Two Holy Mosques throughout the centuries, and progress on various aspects of the project.
