Mohammed bin Salman sponsors the closing ceremony of the National Cultural Awards in Riyadh

Crown Prince's patronage of cultural awards

Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud , Crown Prince and Prime Minister – may God protect him – the Ministry of Culture will organize next Sunday the closing ceremony to honor the winners of the fifth session of the National Cultural Awards , at the King Fahd Cultural Center in Riyadh .

Saudi leadership's support for culture

His Highness Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, Minister of Culture, expressed his gratitude to His Royal Highness the Crown Prince for this generous patronage, considering it the highest honor for those working in the cultural sector and for creative individuals in all creative disciplines. He affirmed that this patronage reflects the unlimited support that Saudi culture from the wise leadership, in addition to empowering intellectuals and creative individuals and enhancing their presence both locally and internationally.

A national initiative within the framework of Vision 2030

The National Cultural Awards initiative is a key component of the National Cultural Strategy, aiming to achieve the cultural objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030. Through these awards, cultural talents and pioneers are recognized, while also highlighting and encouraging young creative energies through both financial and moral support.

19 awards covering various sectors

The ceremony will see the awarding of 19 cultural prizes across various creative fields. Among the most prominent awards are:

  • Cultural Personality of the Year Award.
  • Youth Culture Award.
  • International Cultural Excellence Award.
  • Cultural Institutions Award (For-Profit and Non-Profit).
  • Cultural Media Award.

The sectoral awards also include: literature, publishing, theatre and performing arts, culinary arts, architecture and design, translation, fashion, film, national heritage, music, visual arts, and handicrafts.

This major cultural event confirms the Kingdom’s position as a platform that supports creativity, and highlights the pioneering role of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince in empowering culture and creators.
