The Minister of Interior meets with the Prince of Al-Jawf

In an official visit reflecting the wise leadership’s interest in balanced development throughout the Kingdom, His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior, met today in the city of Sakaka with His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Jawf Region.

Implementing leadership directives to enhance quality of life

At the outset of the meeting, His Royal Highness the Minister of Interior affirmed that this visit comes in implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Prime Minister – may God protect them both. These directives aim directly to understand the needs of citizens and to assess the progress of work in various regions, ensuring comprehensive and balanced development that strengthens security and stability and supports the sustainable development paths the Kingdom is witnessing under Vision 2030.

Al-Jawf: Strategic depth and promising development

The Minister of Interior's visit to Al-Jawf region is of particular importance at this time, given the region's strategic and economic significance in northern Saudi Arabia. Al-Jawf is a cornerstone of the Kingdom's food security, in addition to being a hub for renewable energy, hosting mega-projects such as the Sakaka Solar Power Plant. The development initiatives overseen by the Emirate aim to bolster these achievements. Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud commended the remarkable developmental progress witnessed in the region, praising the efforts of the Emirate and the continuous oversight of His Highness the Emir, which have positively impacted the quality of life for citizens and residents, and enhanced the security and development environment.

Review of the region's strategy and future projects

For his part, Prince Faisal bin Nawaf expressed his deep appreciation for the unlimited support that the region receives from the Ministry of Interior, stressing that this support represents a fundamental pillar for maintaining security and consolidating stability, which creates the appropriate climate for attracting investments and driving development.

During the meeting, the Minister of Interior was briefed on a comprehensive visual presentation outlining the general strategy for the Al-Jawf region and the current and future development initiatives overseen by the Emirate. The presentation included details of programs and projects aimed at achieving the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, improving services, and strengthening infrastructure.

High-level attendance

The meeting was attended by a high-level delegation reflecting the integrated efforts of various security and administrative sectors. Among those present were His Royal Highness Prince Mutaib bin Mishaal bin Badr bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Al-Jawf Region; His Excellency Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Battal, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior; and His Excellency Lieutenant General Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Bassami, Director of Public Security. Also in attendance were Major General Khalid bin Ibrahim Al-Arwan, Director General of the Minister's Office for Studies and Research; Major General Shaye bin Salem Al-Wadaani, Director General of the Border Guard; Engineer Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Al-Rabeeah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Regional Affairs; and a number of security leaders and senior officials from the region's governorate.
