Celebrating the graduation of 1,560 students in Jubail: A step towards human and societal development
On Sunday evening, Jubail Industrial City witnessed a significant event: the graduation ceremony of 1,560 students from the colleges and institutes affiliated with the Royal Commission in Jubail. The ceremony, held under the patronage of Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, took place at the King Abdullah Cultural Center. Among the attendees were several prominent figures, including Engineer Khalid Al-Salem, Chairman of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, as well as a number of officials and parents.
Education and training: a cornerstone of development
In his address, Prince Saud bin Nayef emphasized the importance of education and training in human development, noting that these elements are fundamental pillars of development and central to the nation's progress. He explained that the outputs of quality education play a vital role in meeting the needs of the labor market and keeping pace with the industrial and technological transformations taking place in the Kingdom.
The Prince praised the continued support provided by the wise leadership for the development of the education and training system, stressing its keenness to promote technical, engineering and professional specializations in line with the requirements of national development and to achieve the goals of economic development.
An ambitious vision for human development
For his part, Engineer Khalid Al-Salem delivered a speech in which he indicated that the comprehensive developmental achievements across various sectors are the fruit of an ambitious vision adopted by the Saudi leadership under the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. This vision has made human beings the cornerstone of achieving transformation and growth, and has given great importance to building human capital as the nation's most valuable resource.
Al-Salem emphasized that the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu represents a leading national model in embodying this approach, through its efforts in developing an integrated educational and industrial system that prepares national competencies with high scientific and practical qualifications that keep pace with the needs of the industrial labor market and support the Kingdom’s Vision goals in building a diversified and sustainable economy.
Towards a promising future
In his address, Dr. Anwar Al-Zahrani, Director General of Education at the Royal Commission in Jubail, noted that this ceremony embodies the fruits of the learning journey and marks the beginning of a promising future of excellence and contribution. He emphasized that the graduation of a new class of students from Jubail Industrial College and Jubail Technical Institute reflects their complete readiness for the job market.
The ceremony included a video presentation highlighting the history of education at the Royal Commission in Jubail and its achievements in developing national talent, followed by a speech from the graduates. A group of students also presented an artistic performance entitled "A Nation of Excellence and Ambition," followed by a review of the Royal Commission's most prominent educational achievements, including the number of graduates and their fields of study.
Honoring outstanding students
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Prince of the Eastern Province honored the sponsors and outstanding students who achieved top honors. He also received a commemorative gift from the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, in a gesture that reflects appreciation and recognition of the efforts made to achieve human development.
