Forming the Public Prosecution Council: A step towards enhancing independence and efficiency

The Attorney General and Chairman of the Public Prosecution Council, Sheikh Saud Al-Muajab, received the new members of the council following the issuance of the royal decree forming the council for a four-year term. He welcomed them and congratulated them on the royal trust bestowed upon them, wishing them success in carrying out their duties and responsibilities.

A message of thanks and appreciation to the leadership

At the beginning of the meeting, the Council expressed its sincere thanks and gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince for their continued support and the formation of the new Council, which enhances the independence of the Public Prosecution and strengthens the effective performance of its judicial duties.

The council reviewed the topics on its agenda, which focus on developing the institutional performance of the Public Prosecution, enhancing the efficiency of judicial procedures, and improving the quality of work in line with the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

The council's role in managing employment affairs

The council is responsible for the professional affairs of members of the Public Prosecution, and it formulates general policies and approves regulations and bylaws that contribute to strengthening the independence of the Public Prosecution and the efficiency of its performance. It is worth noting that the council is reconstituted every four years by royal decree.
