Khalid Al-Falih participated on behalf of Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman , in the Investment Forum in the Senegalese capital, Dakar, heading a high-level Saudi delegation that included representatives from the public and private sectors and a select group of business leaders.
The Kingdom is the guest of honor at the forum
The Kingdom participated in the forum as a guest of honor , under the patronage of the President of Senegal, Bassiro Diomêne Faye, and in the presence of several heads of state, ministers, and financial and investment leaders from around the world. The forum is a key platform for exploring investment and partnership opportunities in Africa and for opening new channels of cooperation with the international community.
Message from the Saudi leadership
In his opening remarks, Al-Falih conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz , and MBS , emphasizing the Kingdom's aspiration for the forum to contribute to strengthening economic partnerships with Senegal, Africa, and the world. He praised Senegal as a promising investment destination, enjoying political and legislative stability, in addition to its strategic location as a gateway between African and European markets.
Strategic partnerships with Africa
Al-Falih affirmed that Saudi Arabia views Senegal as a key strategic partner in Africa, highlighting the continent's vast human and natural resources, which make it a priority for Saudi investment . He explained that areas of cooperation include renewable energy-powered desalination, solar energy, and other vital sectors.
Vision 2030 and supporting global investment
The Minister of Investment pointed out that the Kingdom is witnessing a comprehensive economic renaissance within the framework of Saudi Vision 2030 , which aims to diversify the economy, enhance sustainability, and empower people, noting the remarkable growth in the volume of foreign direct investments and the increasing international confidence in the Saudi economy.
Two days of discussions
The forum will continue for two days, addressing investment opportunities in Senegal and ways to strengthen public-private partnerships, contributing to driving economic development and opening new areas for international cooperation.
