This handover is a result of the generous donation of one billion riyals from His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, from his personal funds, to support homeownership for the most needy families through the "Jood Housing" platform.

High technical standards and speed of completion

These housing projects were completed according to the highest technical specifications and quality of life standards, in accordance with the directives of the Crown Prince, which stipulated the necessity of implementing high-quality housing projects within a record period not exceeding 12 months. The implementation relied on qualified national companies, reflecting His Highness's aspirations to provide a safe and sustainable housing environment for deserving families, ensuring their stability and comfort, and contributing to increasing the rate of homeownership in the Kingdom.

During the handover ceremony, the Governor of the Eastern Province affirmed that this generous donation embodies Prince Mohammed bin Salman's ongoing commitment to supporting housing stability for deserving families and providing sustainable housing solutions that contribute to strengthening social cohesion. His Highness noted that the achievement attained in such a short period reflects the integrated efforts of relevant entities and the generous support and attention the housing sector receives from the leadership. This aligns perfectly with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which prioritizes increasing homeownership rates among citizens and activating the role of the non-profit sector.

Enhancing social solidarity through the Jood Housing platform

Prince Saud bin Nayef praised the pivotal role played by the Jood Housing platform and the Sakan Foundation in instilling the values of giving and social solidarity, and in motivating individuals and institutions to contribute to supporting the most vulnerable families across the Kingdom, including the Eastern Province. These initiatives serve as a leading model of community partnership that contributes to achieving family stability, enhancing quality of life, and transforming beneficiary families from recipients of aid to self-reliant individuals.

This donation is primarily aimed at supporting homeownership for eligible families, reflecting the Crown Prince's keen interest in the housing sector and his commitment to providing a decent standard of living for citizens. The Sakan Foundation, through its "Jood Housing" initiative, continues to deliver successive batches of housing units across the Kingdom, taking into account the needs of beneficiaries and ensuring high-quality construction.
