The Crown Prince thanks his Bahraini counterpart after leaving Manama

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman sent a cable of thanks to Bahraini Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad following his visit to Manama, stressing the depth of fraternal relations and strategic cooperation between the two kingdoms.

His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, sent a cable of thanks and appreciation to his brother, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, following His Highness’s departure from the capital, Manama, after a successful fraternal visit.

In his message, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince expressed his profound gratitude and appreciation for the warm welcome and generous hospitality extended to him and his accompanying delegation, praising the strong fraternal relations that bind the two countries and their brotherly peoples. His Royal Highness affirmed that the discussions he held during the visit reflected the shared desire to deepen bilateral cooperation in all fields, in a way that serves the interests of both countries and strengthens the joint Gulf Cooperation Council efforts.

Dimensions of the visit and the context of Saudi-Bahraini relations

This visit comes within the framework of ongoing communication and continuous coordination between the leaderships of the two kingdoms. Saudi-Bahraini relations are witnessing remarkable development and steady growth thanks to the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and his brother, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. These reciprocal visits are a cornerstone for following up on the outcomes of the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council, which serves as the overarching framework for organizing and developing relations between the two countries, and elevating them to the level of a comprehensive strategic partnership.

Historical roots and social ties

The relationship between Riyadh and Manama extends beyond political and economic ties, resting on a deep historical legacy and close social bonds (kinship and familial ties) that stretch back through history. The relationship between the two kingdoms serves as a model for international relations, characterized by a shared destiny and common stances on various regional and international issues. The King Fahd Causeway stands as a testament to this interconnectedness, serving not only as an economic artery but also as a bridge for daily social interaction between families in both countries.

Economic integration and visions for the future

On the economic and developmental front, such visits are of paramount importance as both countries strive to achieve their ambitious national visions (Kingdom Vision 2030 and Bahrain Economic Vision 2030). Current cooperation focuses on strengthening joint investments, developing infrastructure, and collaborating in the energy, tourism, and logistics sectors. The alignment of the two countries' development plans directly contributes to creating new job opportunities and increasing trade volumes, which positively impacts the well-being of citizens in both countries and enhances the stability and prosperity of the region as a whole.
