Saudi Crown Prince receives Iranian National Security Secretary in Riyadh

His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud , Crown Prince and Prime Minister, received in his office at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh on Tuesday, 24 Rabi’ al-Awwal 1447 AH (September 16, 2025), the Secretary General of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, Ali Larijani, and his accompanying delegation.

Discussing bilateral relations

During the meeting, bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Republic of Iran were reviewed, along with the mutual commitment to strengthening channels of dialogue and cooperation in a way that serves common interests. This step reflects the positive trajectory of Saudi-Iranian relations since their official resumption in 2023 under Chinese auspices.

The two sides discussed the latest regional developments and security issues in the region, emphasizing the importance of supporting stability and peace. These talks are a continuation of the Kingdom's efforts to enhance strategic balance in the Middle East.

The meeting was attended by Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman , Minister of State and Member of the Cabinet and National Security Advisor Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, and Head of General Intelligence Mr. Khalid bin Ali Al-Humaidan, reflecting the high level and importance of the meeting.
