The Cultural Investment Conference 2025 kicks off in Riyadh under the slogan "From our culture we build our economy"

The first session of the Cultural Investment Conference 2025, organized by the Ministry of Culture under the patronage of the Crown Prince, kicked off today in Riyadh

The conference was attended by Minister of Culture Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, along with a select group of international investors, decision-makers, cultural leaders, representatives from government and private entities and NGOs, as well as cultural entrepreneurs and innovators.

The conference continues for two days at the King Fahd Cultural Center in Riyadh, under the slogan “From our culture we build our economy,” as it constitutes a pivotal milestone in the journey of empowering the cultural sector and transforming it into a vital economic engine that enhances national identity and increases its contribution to the gross domestic product.

Strategic themes and visions

The conference explores future trends in the cultural sector and sustainable creative production through more than 38 sessions and workshops, focusing on three main pillars: investing in the richness of culture as an attractive opportunity, enhancing cultural capital with innovative mechanisms, and the role of culture in consolidating social cohesion and expanding global cultural exchange.

Local and international participation

The conference sessions will feature a number of Saudi and international officials and experts, including Deputy Minister of Culture Hamed bin Mohammed Fayez and Assistant Minister of Culture Rakan bin Ibrahim Al-Tuwaiq. Prominent figures in the global culture and investment sectors will also be in attendance, including: Charles Stewart, CEO of Sotheby's; Guillaume Cerutti, Chairman of Christie's; Noah Horowitz, CEO of Art Basel; Tony Vinciquera, Chairman and CEO of Sony Pictures Entertainment; and Tarek Ben Ammar, founder of Eagles Pictures.
